Job summary

A premier government contractor is seeking an Engineering Technician V to support the National Ignition Facility in Livermore, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, and maintenance of complex diagnostic hardware while adhering to strict safety procedures. The position requires a thorough understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to obtain a Q-level security clearance. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, be detail-oriented, and have effective communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen and at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift and push 50 pounds and work with hazardous materials.
• Must obtain and maintain Q-Level Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical support for NIF systems installation and repair.
• Install and remove diagnostic hardware for NIF experiments.
• Perform quality assurance inspections on complex equipment.
