Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Engineering Technician 2 for the Rocket Casing Robotic Spray team at the Copper Crossing Value Stream facility in Salt Lake City, UT. This weekend day shift (12-hour shifts) position focuses on operating Spray Lance Robots to apply resins and liner materials in rocket motor chambers, following detailed work instructions.

You will work with process engineering, read drawings and blueprints, and seek process improvements across the factory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years related work experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and reports.
• Experience gathering, maintaining and compiling technical data.

Responsibilities

• Operate PLCs during charging, spraying and flushing of robotic operations.
• Prepare, maintain and operate Spray Lance Robots for resin and materials.
• Monitor material parameters and verify requirements during processing.
• Perform pre-operational robot checkouts and equipment maskings.
• Maintain SPC data tracking and calculate material weights.
• Coordinate spraying operations with multiple support organizations.
