Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Engineering Technician B to join our team in Rochester, NY. This role involves troubleshooting complex digital and RF test fixtures, maintaining documentation, and supporting manufacturing/test operations.

The position emphasizes hands-on problem solving with a focus on test systems, station continuity, and cross-functional collaboration in a defense tech environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior experience; 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0-2 years prior experience.
• Experience reading schematics and troubleshooting to component level.
• Experience with LabVIEW and MS Word/Excel.
• Strong ability to work with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex digital and RF fixtures according to engineering drawings, schematics and documentation.
• First line of defense in resolving daily test issues impacting troubleshoot, environmental, or up flow test for manufacturing and operations.
• Monitor station utilization and downtime and report out to the TE Lead.
• Assist manufacturing technicians by answering questions and providing training on test systems and troubleshooting tools.
• Create/Update station documentation items such as MTPs, Station BOMs, AMRs, and TSWs.
• Work with PM coordinator and Calibration Monitor to maintain proper spare parts inventory for the FF test stations.
• Troubleshoot complex digital and RF test systems.
• Respond to operations support requests in the resolution of test issues impacting production.
