Job summary

The City of Fort Myers seeks a development review specialist to ensure plans comply with City Codes and state regulations. You will review submissions, attend meetings, and prepare road drawings in AutoCAD, assisting the design team and transferring data to utility maps.

Requires an Associates degree in engineering or related field, three years of related experience, an AutoCAD Certificate, and a valid Florida driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in engineering or related field required; three years of related experience.
• AutoCAD Certificate required.
• Valid Florida Driver's License with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve project development plans to ensure compliance with City Codes.
• Attend preliminary meetings and answer inquiries related to projects.
• Process and maintain required documentation and answer inquiries.
• Oversee Right-of-Way permits and respond to inquiries.
• Input work orders through in-house CRS system from field inspections.
• Prepare road construction drawings in AutoCAD and assist design team.
• Transfer as-built drawing information to Utility maps.
• Perform inspections as needed and operate RTK-GIS technology.
• Maintain regular attendance and physical presence at the workplace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
