Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience in sub-professional engineering, heavy mobile equipment operation, or mobile equipment maintenance.
• Must have working knowledge of basic computer software, such as Excel, Word, and Site Manager.
• Self-motivated and able to perform duties with minimal supervision and interpret unforeseen conditions.

Responsibilities

• Computes and checks earthwork quantities, computation sheets, cross sections, related field books, benchmark forms.
• Generates partial and final estimates, final plans (As-Builts), and final change orders.
• Assists field Engineers when they are shorthanded in the field.
• Keeps accurate inventory (quantity and quality) of materials used by contractors.
• Specialized knowledge: Read and send e-mails using Outlook; working knowledge of Excel, Word, Site Manager.
