Job summary

Teradyne seeks an Engineering Technician to support development and validation in the IST lab, ensuring a safe, efficient environment and close collaboration with hardware and software teams for system setup and testing.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, installation, spare parts management, and continuous improvement of lab uptime and reliability. Local candidates only; sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Mechanical Technology, Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience supporting engineering lab equipment and automated test systems.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot, maintain, repair and improve complex systems.
• Experience leading equipment installation projects across teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and service engineering lab equipment for development and validation.
• Install and commission new equipment, coordinating with facilities, logistics and suppliers.
• Identify, procure, organize and manage critical spare parts to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers during design validation activities.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
