Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking an Engineering Technician III to develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.

The role supports high level assembly and molding systems, and drives improvements to production methods and controls. The graveyard shift (Mon-Fri, 11:00 PM-7:30 AM) offers a $3.00 shift differential on top of the base hourly rate, with opportunities to troubleshoot, validate equipment, and collaborate with engineering

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a technician in a highly-regulated manufacturing environment.
• ISO9001 or ISO 13485 preferred.
• Automated and semi-automated assembly processes a must.
• Strong ability with electrical/electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Supports Engineering; builds automated equipment according to design specs.
• Supports Engineering; validates equipment to support internal and external customers.
• Maintains complex equipment to meet production targets and validated state.
• Acts as SME for operation and adjustment of production equipment.
• Documents installations and modifications; implements permanent corrective actions.
