Job summary

Daniel Defense, a leading designer and manufacturer of premium firearms and accessories, seeks an Engineering Technician 2 to join our test engineering team in Georgia. You will execute test plans, conduct live-fire evaluations, assemble test articles, and troubleshoot failures, delivering reliable, safe, and well-documented results.

Qualifications include 2–5 years in testing/manufacturing or firearms, and an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant test, manufacturing, or firearms experience.
• Strong understanding of firearm systems and operating principles.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Execute engineering test plans with minimal supervision (reliability, endurance, environmental, and accuracy testing).
• Conduct live-fire testing and advanced functional evaluations.
• Assemble, modify, and configure test articles per engineering direction.
• Troubleshoot firearm and component failures and document root causes.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize test data for engineering review.
• Support development and validation of new test fixtures and methods.
• Interface with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality teams during testing.
• Train and mentor Technician I personnel.
• Ensure test activities comply with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to company safety, 6S, quality, delivery and productivity.
