Job summary

Bird in Solon, Ohio is seeking an Engineering Technician II to deliver technical, laboratory, and ERP data-entry support for new product development and sustaining engineering activities. This role assists Project Engineers, Design Support Engineers, and Product Engineers by maintaining accurate engineering data in ERP and related databases, and by supporting prototype builds and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or actively pursuing Associate degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering Technology or related technical discipline
• 3–5 years of engineering support or electronics manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of electronic and mechanical principles
• Experience with ERP-based engineering data management, BOMs, and part creation
• Familiarity with CRs, COs, ECOs, and document control

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for new product development and sustaining engineering under the direction of engineers
• Maintain engineering documentation including BOMs, drawings, and ERP records to ensure accurate product configuration
• Perform engineering data entry and maintain component information in ERP and databases
• Prepare and execute Change Requests, Change Orders, and Engineering Change Orders
• Coordinate prototype builds and testing with Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing
