Job summary

Bird Technologies Group Inc in Solon, OH is seeking an Engineering Technician II to support new product development and sustaining engineering activities. You will maintain BOMs, engineering docs, ERP records, and assist with prototype builds and testing under engineering staff guidance.

The role requires 3–5 years in engineering support, knowledge of ERP systems, and strong attention to detail, with opportunities to automate workflows using scripting languages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or actively pursuing Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related technical discipline
• 3–5 years of engineering support or electronics manufacturing experience
• Experience with engineering documentation, BOMs, and ERP-based data management
• Familiarity with CRs, COs, ECOs, and document control
• Experience maintaining engineering databases and product configuration information
• Experience with electronic laboratory equipment
• Ability to assemble, troubleshoot, test, and evaluate prototype electronic assemblies
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Maintain engineering documentation including BOMs, schematic drawings, mechanical docs, ERP records and configuration control
• Prepare and execute Change Requests (CRs), Change Orders (COs), ECOs and related docs
• Assist engineers with documentation, PCB release activities, and manufacturing docs
• Assemble, modify, troubleshoot and evaluate prototype assemblies and test equipment
• Coordinate prototype, pilot, and production builds with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and suppliers
• Verify accuracy of engineering docs and product data prior to release
• Maintain engineering labs, tools, and data management processes
• Develop scripts or tools to improve engineering workflows when appropriate
• Provide first-level technical support to internal teams on engineering docs and configuration
