Job summary

Entegris in Burnet, TX is seeking an Engineering Technician II to join our New Product Engineering team. You will work alongside skilled engineers to develop and transfer processes and equipment to the manufacturing team, delivering specialty chemicals used in high-performance semiconductor products.

The ideal candidate has a strong supervisory background in a high-tech manufacturing setting, sharp problem-solving skills, and a practical knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45000 standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma may suffice.
  • Strong leadership and communication in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 70 lbs.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45000 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and training to technicians.
  • Delegate work assignments, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • Conduct critical-to-quality audits and ensure all work meets standards.
  • Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and PPE use.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure equipment reliability and cost targets.
  • Identify and report potential hazards; coach employees on safe behaviors.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and electronic transactions for ISO and internal requirements.
  • Support internal, customer, and ISO audits in partnership with Quality and Management.
  • Ensure production schedules are met while minimizing downtime and costs.
  • Collaborate with schedulers and planners to manage workflow and resolve interruptions.
  • Troubleshoot non-routine issues and ensure technicians have needed tools.
  • Implement quality improvements using 8D problem solving.
  • Lead 6S activities within the work area.
  • Work with Engineering to update standards, PMs, and spare parts requirements.
  • Propose and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Perform lab maintenance tasks including PMs, supply ordering, housekeeping, and waste disposal.
  • Conduct quality testing and inspections on finished products.
  • This activity includes design for enhancements to existing equipment manufacturability and new product equipment.

Overview

Entegris currently seeking an Engineering Technician II to join our New Product Engineering team. This position will be based in our Burnet, TX facility. In this role, you will be a key player along with skilled engineers on a dynamic New Product Introduction team whose objective is to develop and transfer processes and equipment to the manufacturing team. These processes and equipment produce and deliver specialty chemicals used by our customers to build high performance semiconductor products.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Strong visual inspection skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45000 standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 70 lbs.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities; able to manage multiple tasks.
