Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Houston-based field technician to perform and document testing of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will communicate results to the Project Manager, maintain equipment, and adhere to strict safety standards on active sites.

Under supervision, you will gain experience in sampling, testing, and reporting, with opportunities for increased responsibility and certification within 6–12 months.

Qualifications

• Assist with basic testing and observations under supervision.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Communicate information to Project Manager for submittals.
• Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by Project Manager.
• Progressively take on more training and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned equipment and work areas.
• Follow safety rules and complete pre-task planning.
• Ensure quality standards on all projects.
