Job summary

Westgate Resorts in Orlando, FL is seeking an Engineering Technician I to support resort operations by performing maintenance, preventive work orders, and repairs across multiple trades. This role emphasizes troubleshooting, hands-on work, and excellent guest service while upholding the resort’s high standards.

You will operate tools safely, work with maintenance software, and contribute to inventory management. Weekend/holiday availability is required, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of maintenance/ skilled trades experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and building maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete engineering projects, preventative maintenance, guest service requests, and resort improvement tasks as assigned.
• Perform general maintenance including painting, caulking, drywall, and minor wall repairs.
• Troubleshoot and complete basic plumbing repairs on toilets, sinks, showers, faucets, bathtubs, and drains.
• Perform basic electrical tasks such as resetting breakers, replacing bulbs, and testing voltage.
• Install, replace, and troubleshoot televisions, remote controls, and other equipment.
