Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a 100% employee-owned federal contractor, seeks an Engineering Technician to support NASA AFRC. This hands-on role applies engineering technology to the full range of technician duties and requires strong collaboration within a dynamic, multi-task environment.

Qualifications

Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must pass drug testing.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement data collection strategies to support testing activities within the Flight Loads Laboratory.
Support all phases of test execution with a primary focus on data acquisition and data handling systems.
Serve as an experienced technical troubleshooter to identify, isolate, and resolve hardware, software, or system-level issues.
Perform operational integration activities and interface verification checks to ensure system compatibility and readiness for test execution.
Support information technology security compliance and data archiving, and collaborate with test engineers.
