Job summary

McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is seeking several Engineering Technicians to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI. The team will perform maintenance, repairs, and testing as part of a fast-paced environment.

Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, familiarity with hand tools, and the ability to read diagrams. A valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required, with a Secret clearance being desired.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and test equipment.
• Experience on electrical/mechanical repairs and troubleshooting.
• Ability read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
• Familiarity with computer use and ability to create basic reports using MS Word.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical/electrical repair and troubleshooting.
• Provide equipment maintenance (routine, preventive, corrective) and repairs and support facilities testing and upkeep.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools, basic test equipment & measuring instruments.
• Experience with quality assurance processes.

McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is seeking several Engineering Technicians who will support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport RI. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) is the United States Navy's full-spectrum research, development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support center for submarines, autonomous underwater systems, and offensive and defensive weapons systems associated with undersea warfare. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills,and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, schedule driven environment.
