Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the design, construction, and testing of test equipment in electronic and electro-mechanical domains. You will calibrate, diagnose, and maintain systems using schematics and manuals, sometimes handling complex machines or computer systems.

This onsite Salt Lake City role runs a swing shift starting around 2:00–3:30 pm, with a 9-hour day on a 9/80 schedule, and is a 12-month contract to hire.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Experience working with complex machinery, instrumentation, or computer‑based systems.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities across multiple technical domains.
• Ability to obtain a clearance

Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from and thoroughly understands schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. This role will be a swing shift starting between 2:00-3:30pm and will be a 9 hour shift working on a 9/80 schedule. This role will be onsite in Salt Lake City and will be a 12 month contract to hire.
