The Engineering Technician is responsible for developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems related to all aspects of computer repair. They assist engineers, conduct tests, and collect data.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis/Communication/Issue Resolution (80% of job)
- Creates solutions to technical problems.
- Performs research and development as instructed by the engineering manager.
- Uses math and science skills to assist engineers in developing improved processes and assembly/repair systems.
- Performs quality control testing, assembly, and maintenance duties as required.
- Participates in system requirements evaluation, analysis, and implementation.
- Warehouse Efficiencies Cost Reduction (10% of job)
- Implements warehouse efficiencies and cost reduction programs by conducting thorough analysis of key areas causing product or delivery issues.
- Builds and maintains a positive work environment supported by open feedback and two‑way communication at all levels.
- Team Leadership (10% of job)
- Maintains a positive work environment while supporting organizational culture.
- Fosters a healthy and safe work environment, focusing on the well‑being of all associates.
- Strengthens internal and external customer and supplier relationships; communicates and works with all business partners.
- Ensures inventory management and allocation flows product through the warehouse efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; a degree in Business Administration from an accredited university will also be considered.
- Prefer experience in the computer repair industry.
- Knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience in the manufacturing or computer industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated skill set while working with a temporary agency is acceptable.

Working Conditions
Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. The office and outdoor environmental conditions include hot summers and cold winters. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period while working, navigate facility aisles, reach over shoulder heights, bend or stoop, perform repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movements, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
