Job summary

Innova Solutions is hiring an Engineering Technician in Palm Bay, FL for a 12-month contract (with potential to hire). The role covers electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical testing, calibrations, and validation of test equipment.

Requires active Secret clearance and ability to work from schematics and engineering drawings. Primary duties include setting up tests, verifying calibration, assembling fixtures, and documenting results; experience with LabVIEW/TestStand is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary/associate’s degree with 4+ years of experience.
• Experience with test equipment, schematics, and engineering drawings is expected.
• Active Secret Security clearance is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Transport test equipment, fixtures, and cables to testing locations.
• Set up tests per documentation and engineering direction.
• Verify calibration of test equipment and licensed software.
• Assemble custom or COTS equipment/fixtures and document failures.
• Execute automated software using LabVIEW and/or TestStand GUIs.
• Troubleshoot failed assemblies with engineering oversight.
• Mentor lower-level peers and offer guidance on tasks.
