Job summary

Moody and Associates, Inc. seeks an Engineering Technician to join our engineering team at Meadville, PA or Erie, PA.

The role focuses on detailed design and drafting, data collection, and coordinating with project managers to support infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include site inspections, preparation of plans and specifications, reviewing plans for compliance, CAD drafting, and producing technical reports and maps for clients and review agencies.

Qualifications

1–4 years of civil or environmental engineering experience.
Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Advanced certifications (EIT) preferred.
Proficiency with AutoCAD; familiarity with HydroCAD, Stormflow, GIS, Civil 3D preferred.
Strong technical writing and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Adherence to safety requirements on all projects.
Collaborate with managers and senior engineers to plan, design, and supervise site development initiatives.
Conduct site inspections and surveys for data essential to planning and design.
Assist in developing design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for infrastructure improvements.
Review subdivision, land development, grading, and zoning plans for environmental impact.
Assist in filing permit applications to ensure environmental compliance.
Conduct construction monitoring and provide on-site engineering support.
Create, modify, and review CAD drawings for infrastructure projects.
Prepare technical reports, maps, and visual documentation communicating specifications and site conditions.
Occasional travel to project sites and ability to work after hours when needed.
