Job summary

Moody and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our engineering team.

The role supports detailed design and drafting, liaises with clients and review agencies, and assists in the development and implementation of engineering solutions at our Meadville, PA or Erie, PA locations. The ideal candidate has 1–4 years of civil or environmental engineering experience, a BS/MS in civil/environmental engineering, and proficiency with AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of demonstrated experience in civil or environmental engineering or similar.
• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering or similar.
• Advanced certifications or licenses (EIT) preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is required; familiarity with HydroCAD, Stormflow, GIS, Civil 3D or other engineering software is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365; strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to plan, design, and supervise site development, grading, and construction initiatives.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to collect data for planning and design.
• Develop design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for infrastructure improvements.
• Review subdivision, land development, grading, and zoning plans to reduce environmental impact.
• Prepare and file permit applications to ensure environmental compliance.
• Perform on-site engineering support and monitoring for environmental regulations and quality.
