Job summary

System One is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Technician for field testing, inspection, and documentation on construction projects in the Denver metro area. You will perform tests on soils, concrete, and other materials to ensure adherence to engineering specifications.

The role involves working outdoors, traveling to sites, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients. Candidates should hold the ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification and be able to

Qualifications

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification is required.
• Knowledge of ASTM and AASHTO testing procedures.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing and inspection of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
• Conduct density testing, concrete sampling, slump, air content, and temperature testing.
• Document field observations and complete accurate daily reports.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Ensure testing procedures comply with ASTM, AASHTO, and project specifications.
• Maintain testing equipment and company vehicles.
• Travel to various construction sites throughout the Denver metro area.
