Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Sr. Engineering Technician to join our geotechnical engineering team. The role involves laboratory and field testing, operating a nuclear densometer, and applying specialized software to analyze data.

You will communicate results to clients and staff, document field notes, travel to sites, and mentor junior staff. Requires 10+ years in field or lab tech, nuclear safety training, HAZWOPER, and accreditations in soils, concrete, and asphalt.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a field and/or lab technician in the engineering industry.
  • Field and construction observation experience is highly desirable.
  • Current Nuclear Gage Safety and Transport Training certification.
  • Current HAZWOPER certification.
  • Strong ability to process and interpret test data using computer software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present test results effectively.
  • Must have a valid driver license and insurable driving record.
  • Personable, flexible, and professional demeanor.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate field notes and sketches.
  • Accreditations in soils, concrete, and asphalt required (WAQTC, ACI, and CAPA certifications).
  • Experience coordinating testing activities and mentoring technical staff.
