Doherty Staffing Solutions is seeking an Engineering Technician for a manufacturing company in West Fargo, ND. You will support product design, troubleshooting, testing, and continuous improvement across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and automation systems.

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• PLC/HMI troubleshooting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems.
• Repair and optimize existing door systems while supporting new product development projects.
• Create and update detailed mechanical drawings using SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
• Conduct engineering tests to verify system functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to improve designs and manufacturing processes.
• Document troubleshooting activities, test results, and project outcomes accurately.

What You'll Do as a Engineering Technician:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems

What You Need to Bring to the Engineering Technician Role:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree in Mechatronics, Automation, or related field preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
• Basic computer networking knowledge preferred
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and work in both office and production environments
• Reliable attendance and willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites for troubleshooting and documentation
