Job summary

Kelly Services in Wisconsin is seeking an Engineering Technician to support electro-mechanical design, testing, fabrication, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and systems. You will build prototype models, specialized test equipment, and experimental circuitry, and assist with system installations and NPI efforts.

You will diagnose issues from schematics and layouts, maintain test records, and perform multi-disciplinary testing (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum).

Qualifications

  • Experience in electro-mechanical design, testing, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly.
  • Proficiency using schematics, diagrams, layouts, or plans for testing electronic and mechanical components.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electro-mechanical design, testing, fabrication, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Build prototype models, specialized test equipment, and experimental design circuitry.
  • Test and troubleshoot problems at the system and component level in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Support new system installations, new product introductions (NPI), and field upgrades.
  • Refer to schematics, diagrams, layouts, and plans for troubleshooting and routine testing.
  • Maintain and compile logbooks and test documentation using strong writing skills.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on platforms per engineering and manufacturing documentation.
  • May perform rework as needed and generate quality notifications.

Position: Engineering Technician

Shifts: 1st, 2nd and Weekend Schedules

Pay Scale: $22-$26/hr (plus shift differentials)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical technical activities, including design, test, fabrication, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Build prototype models, specialized test equipment, and experimental design circuitry.
  • Test and troubleshoot problems at the system and component level in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Support new system installations, new product introductions (NPI), and field upgrades.
  • Refer to schematics, diagrams, layouts, and plans for troubleshooting and routine testing.
