Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. in Richardson, TX is seeking an RF Test Technician to join the Test Engineering team. You will work with Test Engineers to develop RF test systems, calibrate parameters, and support test improvements for production and customer needs. The role requires hands-on RF testing with spectrums, DVAs; requires independent work and strong RF/DC knowledge.

Onsite five days a week at Richardson office; visa sponsorship not available. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics or related field.
• 2+ years of RF test experience in a production/manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Able to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of RF and DC circuits and measurement fundamentals.
• Experience diagnosing and correcting RF test issues.
• Hands-on RF test equipment experience (VNA, Signal Generators, Power Sensors, SMUs, Spectrum Analyzers).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and device datasheets.
• Track record of driving issues to closure with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Work with Test Engineers to develop RF test systems for various applications, including RF and DC probe, probed devices, socketed Multi-Chip-Packages (MCP’s), and coaxial connected package parts.
• Set up and calibrate [S] parameters and power test stations following Qorvo and customer test needs.
• Interact with test development engineers and software team to support test improvement when applicable.
• Report test progress to manager and customers
• Test internal and customer deliverable products using proper ESD, handling, and packaging/shipping procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Electronics or related field, or combination of education and experience
• 2+ years of RF test experience in a production/manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Good written, oral, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Operate independently with minimal supervision
• Strong understanding of RF and DC circuits and measurement fundamentals
• Experience diagnosing and correcting RF test issues
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (VNA, Signal Generators, Power Sensors, SMUs, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and device datasheets
• Track record of driving issues to closure with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with RF semiconductor test systems
• Strong working knowledge of RF system calibration and measurement accuracy
• Experience operating in high-volume ATE environments with automated handlers
• Experience using test software suites in manufacturing and engineering environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve multiple concurrent issues in a fast-paced production environment
• Operate as a team player with a positive attitude

This is an onsite role where the expectation is to be onsite five days a week at our Richardson TX office.
