  • Maintain accurate production and traceability documentation.

  • Conduct functional testing of modules and packs with appropriate test equipment.

  • Identify abnormalities or failures and elevate issues to engineering or quality teams.
  • Assist with assembly of modules and packs following detailed instructions.
  • Maintain precision, cleanliness, and detail during assembly and testing.
  • Adhere to safety, handling, and quality requirements when working with batteries and electronics.
  • Support precision manufacturing equipment such as ultrasonic wire bonding systems.
  • Assist with setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Monitor process and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Job Title: Engineering Technician

Job Description

This Engineering Technician role focuses on advanced battery module manufacturing and battery pack assembly in a high-precision production environment. You will support critical manufacturing processes such as battery assembly, wire bonding, electrical testing, inspection, and process verification while working closely with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams. The position offers hands‑on involvement with cutting‑edge battery technology, automated test systems, and electronics assembly, and provides clear opportunities for growth into more advanced technical roles as the organization expands.

Responsibilities
  • Follow standardized work instructions and manufacturing procedures to ensure consistent and reliable production of battery modules and packs.

  • Maintain accurate production and traceability documentation to support quality, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization activities to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and safety.

  • Support manufacturing quality initiatives by adhering to established quality standards and contributing to problem‑solving activities.

  • Perform battery testing and validation to confirm performance, reliability, and safety of modules and packs.

  • Conduct functional testing of battery modules and battery packs using appropriate test equipment and procedures.

  • Record and document manufacturing and test results to ensure full traceability and compliance with quality requirements.

  • Identify abnormalities or failures during testing or production and elevate issues appropriately to engineering or quality teams.

  • Support the assembly of battery modules and battery pack systems, following detailed work instructions and specifications.

  • Contribute to high‑quality manufacturing processes by maintaining precision, cleanliness, and attention to detail during assembly and testing.

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety, handling, and quality requirements when working with batteries, electronics, and specialized equipment.

  • Support precision manufacturing equipment, including ultrasonic wire bonding systems and related assembly equipment.

  • Assist with setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of specialized manufacturing and test equipment.

  • Monitor process consistency and identify potential quality concerns, communicating findings to the appropriate stakeholders.

  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure systems are manufactured safely, consistently, and to the highest quality standards.

Essential Skills
  • 2–6+ years of hands‑on technical experience in a technical manufacturing environment such as electronics manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, battery manufacturing, medical device production, automotive electronics, or other precision manufacturing environments.

  • Experience utilizing various manufacturing testing equipment and tools in a production or engineering setting.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude for working with precision assemblies and manufacturing equipment.

  • Strong electrical aptitude for working with electronics, battery systems, and test equipment.

  • Experience working within established quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to follow detailed standardized work instructions and procedures accurately.

  • Ability to document production and test results clearly for traceability and quality compliance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a closely related technical discipline.

  • Experience with electronics, troubleshooting, and use of test equipment in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

  • Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes, soldering tools, and other electronic test and assembly equipment.

  • Experience supporting prototype builds or early‑stage product development activities.

  • Interest in battery technology and high‑quality precision manufacturing.

  • Motivation to grow into more advanced technical roles as the organization and technology expand.

Work Environment

This role is based in a precision manufacturing environment focused on advanced battery module and battery pack production. You will work with specialized equipment such as automated test systems, ultrasonic wire bonding systems, oscilloscopes, soldering tools, and other electronic test and assembly equipment. The typical work schedule runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing a structured daytime shift. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality in a hands‑on, technology‑driven setting that emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement, while offering opportunities for professional growth as the operation scale

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mason, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
