About the Position

The installation rests in the beautiful 'hill and lake' country of Central Texas between Killeen and Copperas Cove and is approximately 60 miles north of the capital city of Austin, 50 miles south of Waco, 160 miles south of Dallas, and 150 miles north of San Antonio.

Specialized Experience for GS-09: In-Service Applicants: One year of specialized experience which includes verifying performance requirements of contracts in accordance with the contract terms, conditions, and specifications; and experience conducting contract site visits. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). Other Applicants: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing various technical data reports; conducting contract site investigations, inspections, and/or surveys; and recommending actions to correct deficiencies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). Time in Grade Requirement for GS-07 Applicants: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
