Job summary

U.S. Special Operations Command (Army) is seeking a Deputy Division Chief for the ASCC Directorate Sensitive Activities Division.

The role involves policy formulation, program management, and budget execution for designated Special Programs in a high-demand, joint environment. The incumbent coordinates across DoD and interagency partners, ensures resource alignment, and leads strategic planning for IW and sensitive activities within ARSOF.

  • One year of specialized experience which includes developing policies and operational plans for Irregular Warfare (IW) or Sensitive Activities.
  • Managing special programs to include planning, programming, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinating special operations requirements across DoD, interagency, or foreign partners; in an Army Special Operations environment.

About the Position:

Serves as Deputy Division Chief of an ASCC Directorate Sensitive Activities Division at TF 40-25 with responsibility for overall program management (policy, resource management, budget formulation, justification and execution) of designated Special Programs.

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Developing policies and operational plans for Irregular Warfare (IW) or Sensitive Activities. 2) Managing special programs to include planning, programming, and resource allocation. 3) Coordinating special operations requirements across DoD, interagency, or foreign partners; and 4) Performing these duties within an Army Special Operations Forces (ARSOF) or Joint Special Operations environment.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
