Job summary

Kelly Engineering, a rapidly growing medical device partner in the St. Louis area, seeks an Engineering Technician for a contract-to-hire role. You will own ECO/ECR processes, coordinate design changes, and implement revisions in SolidWorks and ERP.

You will ensure revision control and document lifecycle across engineering records. This position offers exposure to cross-functional teams and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in engineering documentation, CAD support or change management.
• Proficient in CAD (models, assemblies, drawings) and revision control practices.
• Familiarity with document control and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage ECO/ECR processes from initiation to implementation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to review and implement design changes.
• Implement changes in SolidWorks models, drawings and assemblies.
• Update BOMs, ECOs, and costing in ERP and manage document lifecycle in PDM.
• Maintain engineering revision control for drawings, models and documentation.

Kelly Engineering has partnered with a rapidly growing medical device company in the St Louis area to offer an exciting contract to hire opportunity for an Engineering Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the Engineering Change Order (ECO) and Engineering Change Request (ECR) processes from initiation through implementation

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to review, approve, and implement design changes.

• Implement approved design changes and updates within SolidWorks models, assemblies, and drawings

• Implement design revision updates, BOM changes, Bill of Operation Changes and costing in the ERP.

• Maintain engineering revision control for drawings, models, and technical documentation.

• Manage document lifecycle within the company’s document management or PDM system.

Experience:

• Proficiency in CAD (models, assemblies, and drawings)

• 2+ years’ experience in engineering documentation, CAD support, or change management

• Understanding of revision control, configuration management, and document control practices.
