Job summary

Texas Instruments in Dallas is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team. You will design and checkout burn-in PCB boards on HTOL ovens and test ICs on various tester platforms for qualification and customer samples.

You will support engineering activities including design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype burn-in boards according to TI specifications, and perform testing and fault isolation on systems and equipment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• This role is for engineering tech who will design and checkout burnin PCB boards on HTOL ovens. Work will also involve testing IC on different tester platforms for qualification and customer samples.
• Technical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype burnin boards per TI Spec
• Applications may include analog, circuits, logic systems, and packaging.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
• Conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work.
• Perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment
• Create purchase requests / orders to support customer and business team needs.

Minimum requirements:

• Associates degree
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
