Job summary

Ecolab offers a summer 2027 Engineering Technical Sales Internship to join our technical sales team. You will blend engineering with consultative sales to help preserve energy and water, optimize processes, and build relationships across a large customer base.

You will gain hands-on problem solving, safety training, and exposure to digital technology solutions while supporting field operations and regional sales teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial) with graduation in December 2027 or Summer 2028.
• Immigration sponsorship not available for this role.
• 11-week paid internship program starting June 1st.

Responsibilities

• Complete independent project(s) yielding ROI under trainer's direction.
• Attend safety training and technical lessons for water treatment applications.
• Observe and participate in customer service to ensure accurate chemical application and process optimization.
• Learn and practice the consultative sales approach.
• Visit customer sites regionally (40–100% field time) to learn applications and treatment approaches.
• Build relationships with departments and personnel critical to field success.
• Support Sales Representatives with routine service tasks (boilers, cooling towers, open loops, RO, filtration).
