Job summary

Summit Polymers is seeking a Technical Manager, Engineering to lead set-based concurrent engineering and build a knowledge database in product development. You will supervise designers and engineers and collaborate with program management and plant launch teams to meet milestones.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in engineering with 5 years of industrial project management experience (automotive preferred) or 10 years of progressive technical leadership, plus Wonderlic assessment; travel up to 25%

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering with 5 years of industrial project management experience.
• Or some college coursework in engineering with 10 years of progressive technical PM experience leading to industrial project management.
• Minimum Wonderlic Select Assessment score: 50.

Responsibilities

• Develop and track technical competence of designers and project engineers.
• Supervise program work and assign projects to deepen knowledge.
• Meet timing, design and tooling budgets, and gross margin targets.
• Lead design input and output; review tooling design and function.
• Develop and maintain knowledge databases, checklists and standards.
