Job summary

MillerKnoll, Inc. is seeking an engineering support professional to create, modify, and maintain nonstandard products. You will manage BOMs in the HMI system, design parts, read routings, and prepare drawings to meet customer needs.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in an engineering environment, proficiency with PC systems, and strong problem-solving abilities to support cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in an engineering environment or as Engineering Tech 1.
  • Experience with PC based computer systems and familiarity with EXCEL and WORD.
  • Able to apply basic engineering procedures and practices.
  • Able to work to deadlines and completions.
  • Able to manage own workload and be self motivated.
  • Mechanical aptitude to deal with developing solutions to customer requests.

Responsibilities

  • Be able to create and modify bills of material in the HMI Operating System.
  • Be able to design and modify parts to meet customer need within part specifications.
  • Be able to read and understand routings.
  • Be able to read, create and modify drawings to support customer requests.
  • Be able to understand BOM codes such as inventory codes, P/C codes, UoM.
  • Have a high degree of HMI product knowledge.
  • Must be able to make decisions based on sound engineering principles.
  • Must be able to work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Applications, CAD, Order Administration.
