Job summary

MillerKnoll is seeking an Engineering Technician to provide engineering support for Operations. The role involves resolving safety, downtime, and quality issues, and developing process documentation with cross-functional teams.

The candidate will read routings and drawings, operate PC-based systems, and apply engineering principles to drive improvements in a manufacturing environment. On-site role with standard hours.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience as a TMO or Engineering Technician.
  • Experience with Excel and Word.
  • Apply basic engineering procedures and practices.
  • Work to deadlines and completions.
  • Manage own workload and be self-motivated.
  • Team player skills.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support for Operations.

Essential Functions
  • Work with Engineering and Operations to resolve Safety Issues.
  • Work with Maintenance to resolve Machine downtime issues.
  • Work with Engineering and Operations to resolve Quality issues.
  • Work with Engineering and Operations to develop process documentation.
  • Understand complex machines to diagnose issues and recommend improvements.
  • Operate PC‑based computer systems.
  • Read and understand routings and part drawings.
  • Make decisions based on sound engineering principles.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with people from Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance.
  • Maintain detail orientation to ensure accuracy of information delivered.
  • Perform in a team environment to ensure all work is completed 100% on time.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
