Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a technically skilled technician to support electronic, mechanical and optical systems. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain equipment, read schematics, and work with precision tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires bilingual fluency, 2+ years of relevant experience, and flexibility in hours. Preferred candidates hold a degree in Electronic/Engineering Technology and have SAP knowledge, plus familiarity with Vision Systems and PLC basics.

Qualifications

  • Requires minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States).
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English; SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Vision System and PLC concepts.
  • Ability to read electrical/ mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical or optical areas.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, tests and maintains equipment.
  • Works from schematics, drawings and instructions.
  • Operates related equipment and reports data.
  • Performs calibration, adjustments and replacements as directed.
  • Maintain machines and manufacturing equipment in excellent condition.
  • Inspects components to verify proper operation.
  • Assembles and installs equipment using precision tools.
  • Supports validations activities and PODs generation.
  • Flexible in work hours.

Responsibilities
  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
  • Maintain machines and manufacturing equipment working in excellent conditions.
  • Inspect their mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic components to detect or verify that they are operating properly.
  • Assemble and install equipment and machinery using hand precision tools.
  • Perform investigation to no-conformance product (PRB).
  • Maintain work relations and coordination with personnel in the production, quality and Engineering department.
  • Must be available to flexible work hours.
  • Support Validations activities and assist in the PODs generation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Requires minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).
Nice to Have
  • Associate/Bachelor Degree (Electronic, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology or related)
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
