Enjet Aero is seeking an Engineering Technician - EDM to develop and maintain EDM work instructions, set up and troubleshoot EDM machines, and ensure compliance with aerospace quality and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Develop, maintain, and improve work instructions and process documentation for EDM operations.
  • Set up and operate EDM machines according to engineering and quality requirements.
  • Interpret G-code and machine programming, making adjustments to optimize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Support NADCAP and AS/ISO 9100 audits and continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform precision measurements using metrometers and inspection tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve EDM work instructions, setup sheets, and process documentation.
  • Set up and operate EDM machines per engineering and quality requirements.
  • Identify and correct machine and process issues to maintain quality.
  • Interpret and adjust G-code and programming for optimal performance.
  • Train production staff on EDM setup, inspection techniques, and best practices.
  • Maintain quality documentation, travelers, inspection records, and control documents.
  • Support NADCAP and AS/ISO 9100 audits and corrective actions.
  • Perform precise measurements with metrology tools and enforce safety.

Job description

The Engineering Technician - EDM supports aerospace manufacturing operations within the EDM Department by developing and maintaining work instructions, setting up and troubleshooting EDM machines, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements. This role requires strong technical expertise in EDM processes, precision measurement, G-code interpretation, and aerospace quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and improve work instructions, setup sheets, and process documentation for EDM operations.
  • Set up and operate EDM machines (e.g., wire and/or sinker EDM) according to engineering and quality requirements.
  • Identify, analyze, and correct machine operational and process-related issues to maintain production efficiency and part quality.
  • Interpret and understand G-code and machine programming, making necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
  • Train and mentor production employees on EDM processes, machine setup, inspection techniques, and best practices.
  • Monitor, review, and maintain quality documentation, including travelers, inspection records, and process control documents.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Support and participate in NADCAP and AS/ISO 9100 audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform and verify precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and comparators.
  • Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe manufacturing environment.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
