Job summary

Wytheville Community College invites applications for a Nine-Month Engineering Teaching Faculty position. The role focuses on innovative instruction for 100- and 200-level Engineering courses within AS and AAS degrees, covering engineering foundations, design, programming, statistics, ethics, and mechanics.

Typical loads: 15 credit hours/semester with 10 engagement hours weekly. Responsibilities include developing courses for traditional, hybrid, and distance learning, meeting class schedules,

Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering or a related field with strong coursework in engineering topics.
Minimum 18 graduate semester hours in Engineering from a regionally accredited institution.
Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate with colleagues and staff.

Responsibilities

Teach 100- and 200-level Engineering courses in AS and AAS programs, including foundations, design, and related math topics.
Deliver instruction in traditional, hybrid, and distance formats, including lab work.
Advise students in Engineering and transfer programs and participate in committees.
Support recruitment and program marketing through student and community engagement.
