Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Technical Recruitment Specialist focused on engineering for a hybrid role based in Welkom, Free State. You will lead the full recruitment cycle, from defining technical requirements with hiring managers to sourcing, screening and presenting qualified candidates.

You will develop sourcing strategies, build strong relationships with engineering professionals, and manage the candidate experience through offer and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in technical recruitment, focused on engineering roles.
• Experience sourcing and engaging hard-to-find engineering talent.
• Familiarity with engineering disciplines and required skill sets.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and interview engineering candidates across disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil).
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract niche engineering talent.
• Build and maintain relationships with engineering professionals and hiring managers.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring positive candidate and client experience.
• Understand technical job specs and translate into effective search criteria.
• Utilize ATS to manage candidate pipelines and recruitment activities.
• Stay updated on engineering industry trends and the Welkom market.
• Collaborate with other consultants to share market insights and candidate pools.
• Negotiate offers and facilitate onboarding for successful candidates.
