Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in Washington – Pullman is seeking a motivated Engineering Support Specialist for the weekend shift. You will perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, under supervision, to support SEL products and processes.

You will communicate status to customers and team, learn SEL processes, and contribute to continuous improvement while adhering to World Class Manufacturing principles.

• Two years’ relevant experience.
• Ability to operate Windows and MS Office effectively.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

Complete basic testing, services, or troubleshooting of SEL products and processes in accordance with defined procedures under the direction of more experienced staff.2. Provides status updates to SEL staff and customers. Communicates effectively with team and internal partners and customers.3. Learn and follow department processes while communicating opportunities for improvement to documentation or work instructions.4. Represent your team by participating in collaborative improvement efforts.5. Develop basic proficiency in the activities required to support one of the Operation Team’s disciplines (i.e. Flowline product failures, Product Hospital, test infrastructure support, or Test Lab), or R&D’s disciplines (i.e. Lab Support, Product Test, Infrastructure, or Compliance).6. Learn and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operation, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.7. Understand. Create. Simplify.8.
