Job summary

SEL in Washington state is seeking an entry-level Associate to perform basic testing, services, or troubleshooting of SEL products under direction. You will learn procedures and grow your skills within the Operations team.

You will communicate status to staff and customers, follow department processes, and contribute to continuous improvement. This role emphasizes teamwork, meticulous documentation, and the ability to adapt to new responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Complete basic testing, services, or troubleshooting of SEL products and processes in accordance with defined procedures under the direction of more experienced staff.
2. Provides status updates to SEL staff and customers. Communicates effectively with team and internal partners and customers.
3. Learn and follow department processes while communicating opportunities for improvement to documentation or work instructions.
4. Represent your team by participating in collaborative improvement efforts.
5. Develop basic proficiency in the activities required to support one of the Operation Team's disciplines (i.e. Flowline product failures, Product Hospital, test infrastructure support, or Test Lab), or R&D's disciplines (i.e. Lab Support, Product Test, Infrastructure, or Compliance).
6. Learn and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operation, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
7. Understand. Create. Simplify.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Two years' relevant experience
• Able to efficiently operate Windows and MS Office
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL
• Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years' experience working with SEL products
• Experience with computer-controlled test equipment
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, electronic schematics, and wiring diagrams

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 35 pounds occasionally
• Sit and stand for at least 8 hours
• Vision correctable to 20/30 or better
• Ability to differentiate color
• Use of computer keyboard devices
