Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking an entry-level team member to assist with testing, services, and troubleshooting of SEL products under supervision. You will communicate status updates to customers and teammates, follow department processes, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and adherence to SEL values and manufacturing principles, with opportunities for growth within the Operations and R&D disciplines.

Qualifications

• Two years’ relevant experience.
• Able to efficiently operate Windows and MS Office.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
• Negative drug test result(s).

Responsibilities

• Complete basic testing, services, or troubleshooting of SEL products and processes in accordance with defined procedures under the direction of more experienced staff.
• Provides status updates to SEL staff and customers.
• Communicates effectively with team and internal partners and customers.
• Learn and follow department processes while communicating opportunities for improvement to documentation or work instructions.
• Represent your team by participating in collaborative improvement efforts.
• Develop basic proficiency in activities required to support one of the Operation Team’s disciplines.
• Learn and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operation, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

• Other duties as assigned.
