Job summary

Generac Home is hiring an Engineering Supervisor to lead the Portable Generator New Technology Introduction (NTI) team, providing hands-on technical leadership for new technologies and product concepts in portable power.

You will set direction for the team, drive cross-functional programs, and foster a culture of collaboration, rigor, and accountability. This on-site role is based in Waukesha or Jefferson, WI with about one travel day per week.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical, electrical or electromechanical engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional engineering projects from concept through prototype and test.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with strong problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands‑on NTI team activities from opportunity through feasibility, prototype, test, and readiness decisions.
• Drive the NTI roadmap and engineering plans to deliver portable power solutions.
• Coordinate prototype builds, test plans, and design iterations across locations.
• Foster innovation, collaboration, and structured engineering judgment.
