The Engineering Supervisor at Lake Nona Wave Hotel is responsible for assisting the engineering leadership in all aspects of supervising the property Engineering Department. This position provides direction to the engineering staff and oversees the completion of tasks and preventive maintenance programs, emphasizing guestroom and public area maintenance. Responsibilities
- Perform, assign, and verify routine and emergency maintenance, including mechanical systems and facility operations.
- Ensure high-quality work standards and safety compliance.
- Maintain exemplary customer service standards.
- Assist with staff selection, training, supervision, and development.
- Utilize online work order systems efficiently.
- Maintain inventory of parts, supplies, and tools.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Support safety programs and attend relevant meetings.
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and special projects as assigned.
- Conduct performance evaluations and perform risk management duties.
- Maintain professionalism and cleanliness of work areas.
- Be available for emergencies and flexible shifts as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience in Facilities/Engineering/Construction.
- Proven leadership and ability to work independently.
- Extensive knowledge of building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, roofing, mechanical operations, energy management, Life Safety Systems, and Preventive Maintenance.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Experience managing hospitality capital improvement projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office and online work order systems.
- Relevant licenses or permits, including a good driving record.
Working Conditions
- Stand/walk for entire shift.
- Work various shifts as assigned.
- Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. with assistance.
- Perform bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching tasks regularly.
