Job summary

Invenergy, headquartered in Chicago, offers a Summer 2027 Internship across Wind, Solar, and BESS engineering teams. Interns will support technical design, evaluation, and construction efforts for commercial and utility-scale projects in a hands-on program.

Participants gain real-world experience, attend lunch-and-learns, visit plants, and network with leaders while experiencing Chicago and the energy industry first-hand. The program runs for 10–12 weeks from late May to August.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related).
• Eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Expand knowledge and skills with industry-leading tools and software while gaining hands-on experience.
• Engage with leaders across the organization and learn about the clean energy industry via weekly lunch-and-learns.
• Visit nearby power plants: Grand Ridge Energy Center and Nelson Energy Center.
• Participate in our Volunteer Time Off program and network at company events.
• Attend networking events and explore Chicago with fellow interns.
• Program runs from end of May/early June for 10–12 weeks.
