Job summary

FM is seeking an Engineering Standards Processing Manager to lead the team responsible for publishing and maintaining Engineering Standards, Operating Standards, and Data Sheets that support our engineering field operations and client-facing loss prevention guidance worldwide.

You will partner with engineers, editors, and operations leaders to manage publication cycles, improve governance, and drive initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and scalability, while advancing Tridion adoption

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading content operations, publishing, or technical documentation.
  • Strong project management experience with cross-functional coordination.
  • Experience managing technical content workflows, version controls, and data integrity.
  • Proven leadership of teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience with Tridion or similar CMS is a plus.
  • Knowledge of XML, Adobe Professional, and SharePoint preferred.
  • Experience leveraging automation or AI to improve workflows.

As the Engineering Standards Processing Manager

As the Engineering Standards Processing Manager, you will lead the team responsible for publishing andmaintainingEngineering Standards, Operating Standards, and Data Sheets that help ensure technical information isaccurate, accessible, and delivered on time.

This role combinespeopleleadership, project management, contentmanagement, and process improvement.You'llpartner closely with engineers, technical experts, editors, and operations leaders to manage complex publication cycles, improve content governance, and drive initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and scalability.

As FM continues to modernize its content management capabilities, you'll play a key role in advancing new technologies, supporting the adoption of Tridion, and identifying opportunities to leverage automation and AI to improve how technical content is created, managed, and delivered.

Lead & Develop the Team
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for engineering content operations, publishing, and production activities.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.

  • Recruit, develop, and reteaintalent while supporting adoption of new processes and technologies.

Manage Engineering Standards Operations
  • Oversee the end-to-end publication lifecycle forEngineering Operating Standards, client-facing DataSheetsand internal technical communications.

  • Ensure content quality, governance, data integrity, and on-time delivery.

  • Manage publication schedules,translation needs,priorities, and cross-functional dependencies to support successful release cycles.

Collaborate Across the Business
  • Partner with engineers, technical editors, multimedia specialists, and operationssupportteams todeliveraccurateand effective technical content.

  • Align stakeholders, resolve issues, and drive decisions to meet businessobjectivesand critical deadlines.

  • Translate technical and operational requirements into actionable plans and priorities.

Drive Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Identifyopportunities to improve workflows, governance practices, and content operations.

  • Support the evolution of content management platforms, including Tridion.

  • Leverage automation, AI, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.

  • Lead process and technology transformation initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience leading content operations, publishing, documentation, technical content, or related business processes.

  • Strong project management experience, including managing complex initiatives, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering results on schedule.

  • Experience managing technical content, publishingprocesses, content managementworkflows, version controls, permissions,documentation,andworkflow processesto support efficient content delivery.

  • Proven experience leading, developing, and motivating teams in a collaborative environment.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Experience partnering effectively across engineering, operations, and business teams.

  • Strong technical aptitude andproficiencywith Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience leading process improvement, governance, or operational excellence initiatives.

  • Experience with Tridion or similar content management platforms is a plus.

  • Experience and knowledge of XML, Adobe Professional, and SharePointarepreferred.

  • Experienceleveragingautomation, artificial intelligence (AI), or emerging technologies to improve workflows and business outcomes is highly preferred.

Education

Bachelors degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.

The hiring range for this position is $83,000- $119,000 a year. The final salary offer will vary based ongeographic location, individual education, skills, and experience. The position is eligible to participate in FM’s comprehensive Total Rewards program that includes an incentive plan, medical, dental and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, well-being programs, a 401(k) and pension plan, career development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, flexible work, and time off, including vacation and sick time.
