Convergint is seeking an Engineering Specialist to join our team in a full-time capacity, contributing to a culture that values service, growth, accountability and results. You will be part of a dynamic group focused on delivering reliable Building Automation solutions and supporting customers on installed systems.

The role emphasizes engineering, programming, troubleshooting, start-up, and ensuring project success within time and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience.
• Preferred Experience: Building Automation System and Fire Alarm experience preferred.
• Associates or better in Electronics Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for application engineering, programming, troubleshooting, start-up and check-out of assigned installed projects including small to medium projects less complex.
• Work shall be in accordance with established quality standards.
• Technical support contact for our customer and responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction with installed Building Automation Systems.
• Ensures projects are effectively executed to budgeted cost and time schedules.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

• Responsible for the application engineering, programming, troubleshooting, start-up, and check-out of assigned installed projects including small to medium projects that are less complex.
• Individuals work shall be in accordance with the established quality standards.
• This role is the technical support contact for our customer and is responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction with installed Building Automation Systems.
• Ensures projects are effectively executed to budgeted cost and time schedules.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You’ll Need

• Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to building automation systems.
• Basic programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).
• Frequent visits to jobsites are required, including travel to remote towns/villages . Valid driver’s license required.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel); basic networking & IT skills (Security & Building Automation primarily).

Associates or better in Electronics Technology.

Bachelors or better in Engineering.
