Role Description: UST is a mission-driven group of 29,000+ practical problem solvers and creative thinkers in more than 30 countries. Our entrepreneurial teams are empowered to innovate, act nimbly, and create a lasting and sustainable impact for our clients, their customers, and the communities in which we live. As a Systems Architect, you will drive the successful design, positioning, and deployment of Sentry Vision AI turnkey solutions, focusing initially on pharmaceutical manufacturing use cases such as aseptic fill-finish lines, visual inspection, and process anomaly detection.

Responsibilities:

  1. Anchoring presales engagements, supporting field deployment, and collaborating with customers, account teams, and engineering teams.
  2. Leading technical discovery sessions to understand operational challenges and mapping them to Sentry Vision AI capabilities.
  3. Designing and delivering tailored demos and simulations to showcase solution value, including creating detailed ROI matrices.
  4. Providing expert guidance on camera placements, system configurations, and environmental considerations in high-precision settings.
  5. Architecting end-to-end Sentry Vision AI solutions and managing detailed design specifications.
  6. Guiding integration with plant-floor and control systems such as HMI/SCADA, PLCs, MES, and enterprise quality systems.
  7. Ensuring designs meet industry standards for data integrity, system validation, and safety.
  8. Collaborating with delivery teams for smooth handover from presales to implementation.
  9. Supporting deployment activities including site assessments, edge infrastructure setup, and solution tuning.
  10. Acting as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders across engineering, IT, operations, and automation, building long-term confidence.

Qualifications:

  • At least 15 years of experience in technical presales, solution architecture, or engineering consulting for AI/vision systems or industrial automation.
  • Practical understanding of manufacturing environments, with exposure to pharma, automotive, electronics, F&B, or other precision industries.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware configuration, networks, switches, and cameras.
  • Expertise in computer vision workflows (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow, YOLO) and edge/cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience integrating with control systems, HMI, Siemens, SCADA, or industrial IoT platforms.
  • Excellent client communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific compliance standards (e.g., GMP/GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, ISO) is a plus.

Additional Information: Role location is remote (East Coast), with a compensation range of $142,000-$214,000. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, 401(k), health insurance, and more. UST values humility, humanity, and integrity, fostering a people-first, human-centric culture. UST is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
