Job summary

Ayres Associates seeks an Engineering Services Manager to lead a diverse team delivering consulting services to public and private clients across markets. You will drive staff development, foster client relationships, manage budgets, and guide project delivery with a focus on quality and growth.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to align goals, monitor performance, and support strategic initiatives while representing Ayres in industry events and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience including leadership and development.
• Experience in client relationship management and business development.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams, delegate, and handle competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Willingness to travel periodically and maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of engineering professionals, fostering collaboration, accountability, quality, and client service.
• Partner with senior leadership to implement strategic goals and operational initiatives.
• Monitor workload, staffing needs, and project performance to align resources with business objectives.
• Support budget management, forecasting, revenue recognition, and financial tracking.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Participate in business development, including client engagement, proposals, and marketing initiatives.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members for career growth and succession planning.
• Oversee project execution to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts.
