Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking an Engineering Services Administrator in Maple Grove, MN to support OEM BU with creating parts, descriptions and technical data in the P21 ERP system.

You will manage prints, certs and ECNs while collaborating with sales, engineering, sourcing and quality teams. Responsibilities include reviewing master data, creating items, maintaining drawings and linking certificates in P21, and ensuring up-to-date procedures in QCBD.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of production fasteners and design.
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality related to vendor and customer information.
• Strong ability to apply engineering principles to solve problems promptly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
• Self-motivate and work independently without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Review master data input before it is entered in P21 as part of the new item creation.
• Create and maintain new items from updated MIR information.
• Review drawings, descriptions, specifications to ensure completeness for part numbers.
• Follow naming conventions and checklists for mandatory fields in P21.
• Maintain drawing library and link prints/certificates in P21 with quality.
• Review and maintain document/data control in QCBD for latest procedures.
• Participate in reviews with Sales, Engineering and Quality for ECN changes.
• Assist Program Managers with market basket and MIR part creation.
• Collaborate with OEM Engineering Services Tech and Inside Sales Engineering Tech.
• Support MSC culture and participate in special projects as needed.
