Job summary

Rosewood Washington, D.C. is seeking an exceptional Director of Engineering & Security to join our leadership team. Located in Georgetown, this role leads engineering, maintenance, security, life safety, sustainability, and capital projects to ensure a safe, seamless guest and associate experience.

Salary range $120,000-$135,000 with bonus eligibility and flexible scheduling. The Director reports to Operations and drives financial performance while upholding Forbes Five-Star standards and

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of progressive hotel experience.
• At least five years in an Engineering leadership role preferred.
• Luxury hospitality experience preferred.
• Proven experience leading major renovation, capital improvement, and infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing security operations, life safety programs, and emergency response procedures is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to the Engineering and Security teams, promoting Rosewood's culture and standards of excellence.
• Direct all aspects of engineering operations, including maintenance and life safety systems.
• Oversee hotel security operations with risk management and incident response programs.
• Supervise, train, and mentor Engineering and Security associates; support recruitment and performance management.
• Lead capital projects, renovations, and capital budgets; ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
